We have had the opportunity to stay in this beautiful house, set perfectly in a serene environment. The location of the house, on a quiet street close to the greenery of the deer park, is great. The natural landscaping on the lawn is a bonus. The space inside is inviting and private, and the interiors have been done excellently. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and very very clean. The garden outside offers plenty of space to sit and relax, and for children to play. There is even space inside the garden to park a car. We (me, my wife and my 4-year old daughter) had an excellent time there and we surely want to come back time and again.

  • Planning for a little respite from the daily grind of urban life .... and that too,in a nearby and hassle-free environment? Deer Park Eco Home is the place to be in.While surfing the net for a good guest house in Shantiniketan , I came across this property and was instantaneously drawn by the photos. On arriving there, my apprehensions about this unknown and unseen property were simply blown away! This Eco Home is situated in one of the best and prized locations of Shantiniketan. It is not far from the Vishwabharati campus and stands almost bang opposite to the boundary fencing of the Deer Park or the Ballavpur Sanctuary, in a calm and quiet residential area. The two-storied house has two bedrooms-- one on each floor, with a living-dining hall and kitchen on the ground floor and a lovely open terrace on the first floor! The added attraction is a little but well-maintained garden. The interiors are very tastefully done and one has the impression of ample space both inside and outside. The staff looking after the guests is well-trained, polite and very helpful. The food is simple, homely but tasteful. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a much coveted break from the monotonous routine. Deer Park Eco Home is not a hotel or a resort--- it is much more than that--- it is a home away from home in the true sense of the term. The three days spent there will be cherished for a long time and we would wait for an opportunity to visit the place again.

  • Believe what you see...the pictures here are the exact representation of the Eco Home rather a bit less. In reality you'll feel something MORE than that. But, if you want a cool, calm and relaxing environment unlike the typical 'resorts' or hotels. I'm not repeating the same lines again written by 'fromdebal'...those are true in every angle. A big thanks to Ms. Pandit for everything and a little advise...pls. try to maintain these characteristics of this lovely house.

Room Tip: 1st floor 2 rooms are airy though all rooms are very good....
